Like everything else these days, the cloud thinks your data belongs to them, is for their consumption, they can sell or rent, and the product you buy is their kiosk to sell you and make money with you as long as possible. This watch is great, the mobile app is great, but they sell your soul and health data to their cloud. Love the watch, it offers LOTS of functionality as a standalone device and can be an extension for alerts from your iPhone WITHOUT the Garmin Collect app. I downloaded the app to protect my privacy, it will not support the healthcare I want so I uninstalled the app and had to give up the fact that Garmin is storing all the data they could get from you. Goodbye forever! Without the app, the watch does great things. It just doesn't store or display the data the way the app promises. Very happy with the watch, would recommend it to anyone who wants/needs to monitor heart issues and also to any fitness enthusiast who uses many trainer style apps to keep track of many activities. I am not in favor of sharing my information with unknown persons/companies for storage, use, consumption and sale. You might not care, but one day you'll wonder why so many people know so much about you and why you can't get health insurance, a life sentence, a car loan, or the job you really want. Sorry for the tirade - great watch. The application wasn't performing the functions I needed, so I deleted it. I hope this helps you decide. I'm 6'1" ex-weightlifter and I'm very happy with the size of the dial (doesn't bang on the door frame when I walk through). The strap is almost too small but works well, doesn't make a fashion statement in black, most don't know that instead of a watch i wear a heart rate monitor, comfortable to wear, waterproof but i take it off to shower (needs to be cleaned under the watch) and overall i'm very happy with this watch Had it been lost or run over with my car I wouldn't waste time buying a new one.The cost is high but so is the quality features of the watch.
