I replaced my old levelers with four of these just before a hike last month. Before installing them, I ran them up and down the table several times. I recommend lubricating the screws before assembly. I have used lube before but have found that dirt, sand etc will stick to the lube. For these new ones I used Teflon spray like you use on bikes. They stayed much cleaner and walked up and down easily. I have no problems with the sockets themselves. I especially like that they use a standard 3/4 inch socket. However, I have a serious problem with the crank. It broke the first time I used it; The small pin that allows the head to articulate on the crank is broken. I highly recommend you buy a 3/4" standard (i.e. no deep hole required), a 6 point 3/8" drive head and a 12-18" 3/8" breaker and have it handy in your motorhome. I use my cordless drill to drive the jacks into the ground and the socket/crowbar to finish the leveling job. It worked very well.
