Review on Relieve Hammer Toe Pain With Pedifix'S Visco GEL Crutch - Medium | 4 Total | SMARTGEL TECH by Craig Edwards

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works best for me of any of the support products

This crutch is easy to put on (a bit of talc helps) and doesn't raise the toe so far as to be noticeable in shoes but does keep the toenail from dragging. Soap and water scrub keeps them clean and, so far, they haven't gotten sticky. My hammer toe developed a pressure callus under the toenail and the crutch immediately relieved the discomfort of recovery. As a side effect the crutch comforts a toe's arthritic joint.

Pros
  • Helps to reduce inflammation and swelling
Cons
  • The gel material may not provide adequate shock absorption for physical activity

The toes beside my big toes have started to become hammer toes. My podiatrist says its genetic, but I intend to nip it in the bud. I used this one on the right foot on the toe that wasn''t too bad yet and it straightened it out. I still wear it about half the day just to make sure it stays straight. It didn''t work on my left foot; I''m assuming because it was further developed into a hammer toe. Instead I used the straightener that is a cushion for the ball of the foot and has a strap up through to straighten the toe. It worked, but I have to keep wearing it or the toe wants to curl back down.
