Review on Jenaluca Mini Cupcake Scoop – Premium 18/8 Stainless Steel – Medium Size by Jacob Thorson

It has a different locking system (see part on the handle) than the ones I found at the grocery store and all the others I looked at. I went through three other types and broke each one within a few months because I was using them for tough cookie dough, not just thinner cookie dough. Jenaluca alone has endured my cookie dough (when did I get it? multiple batches and many more months) for a long time. I am very happy with it. I would go the largest size for my muffin batter, only I have a large size of a different closure system, and since my muffin batter isn't as stiff as my cookie batter, it hasn't broken yet. So I can't justify getting the Jenaluca version. A while. I also think it's great that it comes in a nice velvet pouch. I'm keeping it in this one to differentiate it from the others. (Yes, the balls vary in size. And no, I can't tell until I hold them around until I start soaking the batter, in which case I messed up the wrong one.) Speaking of dirty, I'll leave my scoop run from Jenaluca into the dishwasher (top rack only) and everything works fine.
