Tried last year and returned with the HVLF60M, a flash that overheats too easily for my shooting style (I tend to hop at full power - and the 60M stopped after that on less than 2 dozen shots ) I tried the Metz Mecablitz but the need for an adapter was a constant source of uneasiness. Fortunately, the F43M is a much better alternative. It delivers great exposures and doesn't overheat (at full power) until around 42 frames - just enough for my demanding needs. (It turns out Canon has spoiled me.) It delivers superb exposure, its Cobra head is the best innovation in flash, and its TTL exposure is top notch. Obviously not as strong as the F60M, but lighter. and smaller size is definitely welcome. This makes it particularly suitable for cameras with a smaller form factor such as the NEX-6. All in all very recommendable. A_E
