The number one choice for active strobe shooters Sony

Tried last year and returned with the HVLF60M, a flash that overheats too easily for my shooting style (I tend to hop at full power - and the 60M stopped after that on less than 2 dozen shots ) I tried the Metz Mecablitz but the need for an adapter was a constant source of uneasiness. Fortunately, the F43M is a much better alternative. It delivers great exposures and doesn't overheat (at full power) until around 42 frames - just enough for my demanding needs. Great flash: clip-on flashes

Great flash! I only put 4 because it requires AA batteries. It would be great if it was a battery. If you use a flash for more than 45 years, the batteries will overheat, and if you shoot for a long time, be sure to take very cold batteries with you. If you use a NEX-7 like me, just buy the Sony Shoe Adapter; Aftermarket shoe adapters will not work.

Excellent flash, best in camera and photo

I bought this flash for my Sony Alpha DSLR-A500 and it itself is not compatible because of the multi interface shoe which is not on my older camera. In order to use this flash I had to buy a Sony ADPAMA adapter. To find out, it took a little research before buying. The flash works well with the adapter, but not all features are supported. Most flash configurations are disabled when the flash is attached to the camera. For example, the flash compensation setting is controlled on the camera…

This flash will not work wirelessly with a Sony a6500 camera

I was totally amazed with the new a6500 that you still need to have "two" wireless flashes and that you can't use the built in flash as a trigger , like other Sony cameras. I just got a new and absolutely amazing a6500 and this little guy is a beast and a great camera! I bought the HVL-F43M flash solely for my off-camera flash. Surprise, now I have to get another flash or Sony wireless to do what should already be in the camera. Incidentally, the flash is also very good, so there is nothing to…

  • Great overall performance
