Not extremely quiet, clicks in silence are still audible. The battery does not appear to deplete itself particularly quickly; after seven days of use, just 5% of its capacity remains. I would recommend to manufacturers that they train to change batteries more frequently; if they did this, perhaps they would develop a more convenient method of securing the lid. Some pros: Excellent, it feels well in the hand, there are buttons on the side, and it's not heavy. The cover of the battery compartment cannot be opened for the first time with bare hands or fingernails, and using a coin to try to open it in the counterclockwise direction causes a small amount of damage to the plastic bottom of the cover. This information is included in the instructions. When the mouse is moved on the table after the batteries have been installed and the lid has been closed, it makes a very faint rattling sound (it sits very loosely in the socket and jiggles up and down). The issue was resolved when I inserted a piece of foam rubber into the chamber that houses the batteries.
