Great looks and functionality

I bought a Hansgrohe Focus single lever mixer to replace an old chrome double handle faucet I had in my apartment that I didn't care about. I installed the Hansgrohe faucet myself, which was quite easy to do with a little DIY skill. If not, be sure to hire a plumber. The hardest part of the job was removing the old faucet, which was connected to an ugly mix of copper tubing (not standard braided steel tubing) and hard-to-remove fittings. It was difficult, but I made it. I love the modern, high domed design of this nickel plated brass spout. The faucet looks very robust and is well made. The maximum flow rate is 1.5 GPM. Keep in mind that this faucet has a very tall spout which may not be to everyone's liking, but I like it because you don't have to lean too far into the sink to brush your teeth or wash your face. Also - a big improvement over my old faucet - the new spout extends longer across the sink and eliminates the old faucet's annoying problem of constant splashing of water onto the sink surface and wall due to the low spout arc and short pull. from length. . And of course, the main benefit for me was the convenience of the one-knob temperature control, which I think really should be a standard design requirement. The knob handle from Hansgrohe feels solid and well made and turns very smoothly. The faucet is also easy to clean (no nooks and crannies for dirt to collect). The spout can be turned about 120 degrees to the left or right and the aerator can be easily removed for cleaning by unscrewing it. to standard chrome. It costs a bit more but I think the nickel aesthetic is much better. At least in my humble opinion.
