I wear women's shoes in size 6.5 and bought them one size smaller. They fit perfectly. They are soft and warm and absorb moisture well. I have washed and dried them many times and have not noticed any change. The biggest problem I have, and the reason for 4 stars and not 5, is that I can't wear them with pants that are loose in the calves/shins (like sweatpants). You will slide down. They go just as well with leggings or skinny jeans as other socks.
