After racking my brains over tons of reviews and a Reddit thread, I stumbled across this player after failing to pull the trigger on other similar models that looked uglier (to be honest) IMHO. I was looking for a turntable that 1. isn't a "toy" like typical Crosley models and 2. can be connected to my Samsung soundbar as the main speaker. For some reason, after seeing the post-review progress, the question about the soundbar was not answered. In my case, all I needed was an RCA AUX cable. It is not included so I ordered it and it works very well. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B019D048XCI I'm sure true audiophiles would ruin Fluance for one reason or another, but I like the sound. I wish it had auto start and auto return, but it has auto shut off. And on top of that, it's simple, elegant and beautiful to look at - and not particularly difficult to set up. Oh, and you don't need a preamp, it's built into the unit. Great for people like me who want to play it on a more modern speaker anyway. I would buy it again and recommend it to friends. Can't say enough good things about this amazing mid-range device!
