I gave it three stars because it technically protects the Apple Pencil. However, if you use them and draw on an iPad, each clue took me maybe an hour. I'm not stubborn but did a great job with the lines and shading tearing the hole in the top of the silicone completely. It also left a trail of debris on the screen. If you use your pencil to write and are not sluggish, this can work very well. Although a pencil would work just fine without them. It's also worth noting that an hour later (when I noticed the hole) he managed to unscrew the pin completely. This has never happened unless silicone protectors were used. I wouldn't recommend them except for occasional writing use.
