My setup consists of: a preprocessor, three external amplifiers, a separate CD player, a Blu-ray player and an XBox. Heat and radio frequencies damage sound (signal degradation) and components. . Using shielded cables throughout the system is great for RF protection, but unwanted heat build-up from the amplifiers and processor requires serious attention. their own AC plugs, very inconvenient, noisy and with lots of extra wires. Then I switched to laptop style coolers, much larger, with more space and fewer cables, but still not as efficient as I would like for removing heat from heatsinks in amps. Then comes AC Infinity. They offer different solutions for each system. There are three different fans in my rig: Aircom S7, the 12" top exhaust fan I use on the amp, which gives off the least amount of heat. Aircom S9, 17" top exhaust fan for my most powerful amp, and finally Aircom S8, 17" rear exhaust fan, which adorns my CPU. Pulling heat away from my rig by blowing it straight out the back of the case The top exhaust assemblies in my system certainly cool my amps, but I've come to the conclusion that a rear exhaust is fine for my particular application. with detachable air conditioner cables that connect perfectly to my power air conditioner. I checked the efficiency of the fan, in terms of annoying lights, there is a power indicator and a fan speed indicator. A small piece of tape covers the fan speed indicator, when I leave the power indicator lights up so I know everything is ok. In my opinion, the power indicator is small enough not to be a distraction. Noise: This fan can be heard from the seat when turned on at full power. Press down at full speed and the sound becomes noticeably quieter, or rather, less noticeable :) but still effective. I have absolutely no regrets about these purchases, in fact I have one amp left that uses a laptop cooler. waiting for his S8 rear exhaust. If your system is the least bit hot these fans are the ticket, the build quality is impressive and they are very attractive for what they are as they perfectly match the mechanism they are protecting. These fans are not the cheapest, but they are not the most expensive either. From my point of view, the value they protect reassures me! The device features soft foam sleeves that fit either end with their styrofoam end blocks like your high quality Blu-ray player or A/V receiver. Even the detachable plug has its own foam topper and is packaged in an individual zip-lock pouch. The device is also packed in a plastic bag inside a box and then in a double box with extra packing paper in between. Even the brochure that came with the device is in its own envelope. All in all, this is a purchase that will impress from the moment it arrives at your door until it does what it's supposed to do. .
