Absolutely works! in Computers and Accessories

I just bought a Denon AVRX4700H and am using it in the 5.4.2 configuration. I have it in a closed closet. I even installed fans on the back of the case to improve airflow. This also makes the Denon very hot. With modern AVRs, manufacturers no longer install "switchable" AC outlets on the back panel to allow fans or other peripherals to turn on when your system is powered on. I bought an S8 with a thermal switch that turns on the fans. This particular model vents the air to the back of the case.

The third fan update and the best yet!

My setup consists of: a preprocessor, three external amplifiers, a separate CD player, a Blu-ray player and an XBox. Heat and radio frequencies damage sound (signal degradation) and components. . Using shielded cables throughout the system is great for RF protection, but unwanted heat build-up from the amplifiers and processor requires serious attention. their own AC plugs, very inconvenient, noisy and with lots of extra wires. Then I switched to laptop style coolers, much larger, with more…

Two fans are better than one.

AC Infinity Aircom S8 and AC Cloudplate T1-N are designed to cool a rack mounted Yamaha TSR-7850 Natural Sound AV Receiver. The S8 draws in air from the top of the receiver and expels it from the rear. The T1-N draws in room temperature air from the front and directs it through the vented Pyle shelf on which the receiver sits to the bottom of the receiver. To test the system, the temperature climbed to 89 degrees Fahrenheit with both fans running at full speed. the temperature dropped to 70…

Air funnels between units

PRO: Durable materials and excellent workmanship. Be sure to order the correct exhaust direction. CONS: There is no foam padding to block airflow to both the lower electronic receiver and the upper console. In my case, this is a Marantz microprocessor. A law of physics tells us that airflow will follow a path with fewer restrictions, without foam pads the fans will push air out of the receiver's vicinity. I will add one myself to create an air funnel and make the static air pressure more…

Looks great Fairly noisy

Pros: I love the look of this product. Small body, modern design, convenient front panel settings. Cons: Fan noise. I have a sound pressure meter that is limited to a minimum level of 50dB. At a distance of 12 inches from the open cabinet door, I measured about 54 dB. With the door closed, the level dropped to below 50 dB, but was clearly audible throughout the living room. The temperature hasn't been checked yet, but in my 5.6 cubic foot cabinet with about 30 square inches of intake area, it…

Good cooler. Best in Internals

Works well on my Marantz 5006 which is always on. The receiver gets very hot when idling and had trouble going into transient protection mode under heavy use, and I was concerned about durability. In my case there is almost no airspace, which the manual says it requires. The profile of this cooler perfectly matches the rounded edges of the receiver, and with a height of 1.5 inches, it just fits into the narrow space of the case. It even matches the depth of my receiver perfectly. I leave it at…

A niche product that does its job really well

My entertainment console is compact and takes about 1/2" vertically to fit under my receiver. Knowing ventilation would be an issue, I originally planned to install some CPU fans to keep everything cool, but then I saw this. So I cut holes (when the woman wasn't looking) in the top of the console to mount the Aircom fans, placed the Aircom on top and set it to auto cool. This has worked very well so far - the thermostat automatically switches the device on and off correctly - and there is…

Well made system I can't use

AC Infinity makes great fans and fan systems and their attention to detail is always impressive, even the thoughtful packaging of their products. That's why it hurts to give the S8 system less than five stars. I used an AC Infinity fan controller and separate fans for my AV receiver, but decided to keep things tidy and efficient by mounting an exhaust air unit on top. With my old controller, I keep temperatures below 78F, which is important to me as I've had a lot of issues with AV receivers…

Solid construction from computer components

Nothing looks or feels cheap and in my case the color and dimensions are exactly the same as my AVR so it literally looks like part of the device and fits perfectly. I've set the controller to automatically control the fan speed based on heat, and most of the time it runs at 1/2 to 3/4 speed, which I can tell by the light ring on the front (I didn't get a digital readout ). . one) I will say that the light itself is too bright (white) and not dimmer, but this is easy to fix, I just cut a piece…
