Yes. It's old school, just like me, and it's exactly what I wanted. I absolutely hate compression shorts, have never been a fan of mesh-lined gym shorts, and I don't like wearing cotton briefs under gym shorts because it's too much fabric to get sweaty and sticky. I work hard and I work HARD. I'm often drenched in sweat after an hour or so at the gym, and my ideal minimalist ideal is just a simple bandage under loose cotton shorts. They meet these requirements perfectly. I think they are a bit small. I'm exactly 32 inches tall and the environment feels a bit cramped to me. If I'm running long distances I wear a medium size, but for everything else the larger size is fine for me. Exactly the support you need. I also like the wide waist belt and 1 inch leg straps. ALL other bandages I have worn have leg straps that are too thin and feel like they are cutting into me. Not so with Goldberg. I first bought these about two years ago and the first few are starting to fall apart but like I said I use them ALL THE TIME so I'd say they've held up very well. I always dry them without heat, which really helps. One last note: I sometimes get funny looks from the 'kids' at the various gyms I attend as I dress and undress them. Yes, I look like an idiot. You know what. I do not care at all. These are the most comfortable pieces I could wear and they are perfect for this purpose. And I've noticed that a lot of people come to the same conclusion.
