Review on ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ VIVO Black Adjustable Wall/Ceiling Projector Mount Bracket, Extendable Length Projection | MOUNT-VP06B by Marfel Fekete

That's easy. Just wasting a lot of time because they didn't label the parts!

I bought this to wall mount my Yaber V7 LCD projector. Despite being made in China, all threads were perfect and all screws and bolts fit into the holes without any problems. It is durable, reliable and adjustable. It's good. The bad news is that the hardware (bolts, screws, and washers) isn't labeled. This means digging out a tool for measuring screw holes, or a micrometer. Worse, if you sort through and check all the parts, about half of them are for "other projectors". They are supplied with M3, M4, M5 and M6 screws with specific size washers. However, you only need one of these options for YOUR projector. Be Smart: Save a day left when you upgrade the projector, it uses different (not included) screws and the ACE hardware is closed. Time to sort all the parts, separate them and match them to the provided diagram and assemble the arm that goes from the wall (or ceiling) to the projector: 1 hour. Yes, I terminated it. Installation time for a VESA compatible mount on the back of the projector: 1 hour. This is due to the four articulated arms, the mount has two full-reach and two low-reach as standard, but they offer two full-length arms to replace them and make them fully adjustable. Unfortunately it was mounted with small brackets but then I couldn't center the bracket on the projector. So I had to remove the limited reach mounts, put in full reach mounts and then I was able to move the center of the mount to the center of the projector. This is not critical but looks more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Tools you'll need in addition to the included Allen keys ("hex wrenches"): Phillips #2 screwdriver ("plus screwdriver" in Canada) and a tool that measures and can distinguish between different sized screws and bolts. There is a part in the manual labeled "lid". There is no indication in the manual other than a parts list of where this "lid" goes and what it "covers". 24" center) without a base plate. However, if your projector weighs a little, this 3.5-pound mount and your projector are easily supported by four anchors and drywall screws. The kit includes giant concrete anchors and screws, but they're for a simple one Drywall installation overkill. One final note - they spend a whole page of the install guide telling you how to run cables through the bracket and plug. However, since the cables (apparently) go into the bracket and then (apparently) into If you need to route the projector, save yourself the headache of installing this thing with the cables sticking out at both ends and secure it with zip ties Would I recommend this product: Yes Would I sort the parts beforehand: No Tie the cables with zip ties together instead of running them through my hand: YesNext: Find (with Kill-A-Watt) the difference in power consumption between the lamp and turn the lamp off and see if I can get my X-10 current loop sensor to activate the electrical shield. Worked great with halogen bulb + fan but not sure if it will work with LCD :) Ehud GavronTucson Arizona US
