This kit is a good introduction to needle felting, although it does require more advance planning than the instructions say. a) Divide the cream roving in half, then separate about a quarter of each strand to use as touch-up material. b) Roving should not be packed into the white mold as tightly as recommended. c) To create a more three-dimensional character, consider using aluminum foil reinforcement inside the head and body. d) When wrapping the blue plate, try to create thin rather than hard edges as this will make it easier to hide the seams. If only there was more cream I would give this review 5 stars. I bought the roving from Wistyria which gave me enough to complete the dog along with foil and a wide range of colors (or you could use dark brown in the body). It took an adult 6 hours to assemble the dog. Children cannot do it alone or even help. I pushed myself so hard I bled, although I tried to be careful.
