The biggest flaw I find with this basket is that the bottom can easily be cut with knives and then the knives and tines on the forks slip between the meshes. The person loading the basket sometimes forgets to turn the knife blades upside down. When sharp knives cut through the bottom of the basket, the cutlery falls into the dishwasher. If the blades are turned up, the person unloading the dishwasher could get a nasty cut on their arm. I think the basket should be made of a more durable material. I want US made products that cost a little more but last a lot longer. I've had several dishwashers and the baskets in early models last as long as they do in a dishwasher, but that's not the case with later dishwashers. This new basket is the third for this dishwasher.
