I wear this jacket in Brazil where it is hot and dry or hot and wet. For the price, I'm not sure you can get anything with the same level of protection as this jacket in hot weather. The inner rain cover has not yet been tested. I still sweat in this jacket when the temperature is above 30°C. The large size fits snugly around the chest (105cm) and forearms (30cm). I wish the jacket and sleeves were a bit longer. My arms are about 25 inches from the edge of my shoulder to my wrist, and when I stand with my arms at my sides, they're just touching my wrists. When I reach forward (e.g. when you hold the steering wheel) the sleeves rise about an inch (at least for me). I use a small watch which makes the jacket very tight in that area. Oddly enough, although the jacket fits snugly, the inner foam pads seem to dangle a bit, particularly around the shoulders and elbow pads. I usually have to adjust my elbow and shoulder pads every time I put on a jacket. Finally, I didn't crash with it, so I can't attest to its effectiveness in this important capacity. My wife loves the way it looks.
