Review on Terk BMS-58 Integrated Multiswitch - 5 Input/8 Output (Discontinued by Manufacturer) by Guerdon Draper

I installed this multiswitch a year and a half ago to replace an old multiswitch when they upgraded my DirecTV antenna. It worked fine, but last week I upgraded my TV to a HD flat screen TV and subscribed to HD channels. I have found that this multi-switch does not pass HD channels. This was confirmed by speaking to Terk (Audiovox) Technical Support - it is not compatible with DirecTV HDTV channels. So I might as well throw this thing in the bin. When I bought it it was supposed to be compatible with my DirecTV dish. By the way, Terk (Audiovox) customer service is terrible. I posted my problem online not knowing what the problem was and Turk replied that I needed to call and speak to them in person. (They could easily publicize the fact that this unit does not carry HDTV signals from DirecTV.) I waited on standby for over an hour, all the while listening to messages that led me back to the customer support website. Well it's a joke. I will definitely be replacing this multiswitch with a brand other than Terk.
