I like these. This large backpack with a new texture on the back is the second batch in our house. Whether you're cutting and prepping an entire Thanksgiving dinner or just making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, these comfortable mats will protect your counter without stepping on it. Even after it's warped a bit from a million washes in the dishwasher when you forgot to turn off the heated drying cycle. I was skeptical about the smoother new grip pattern, but it holds up better than the old one. And I was very happy with the old one. You can feel the texture and finish of the counter through the mat, so it's not the same cure for stuff spilled all over the counter during cooking as tossing around a large cutting board. on the counter (kitchen gets a little busy before Thanksgiving haha) and it doesn't really improve your situation unless your bare counter is already a pretty good cutting surface (I'd take an actual cutting board to the dining table if you need it that way decompose). But for everyday cooking, my granite countertops are light, simple, and hold up well to cleaning and sanitizing, and I have about 25 of them now.
