We bought these to use under our kitchen cabinets for cooking in the evenings because the two pendant lights hanging over our island didn't provide enough light for the counters. These lights are amazing! They're very, very bright and the motion sensor works amazingly well (they light up at around 9ft). These lights are thin so we were able to attach the self-adhesive magnetic piece to the cabinet trim if we chose to without placing them under the bottom of the cabinets. Also, since the lightbulbs are magnetic, we'll pull one out of the closet and put it on the fridge so we don't have to go to the counter to turn it on. These lights have an on/off switch to save on consumption when needed. They charge via micro USB and a wall socket, which is a plus as it saves money on batteries. There is an indicator that changes color from red to green when fully charged. If you are looking for an alternative to command strip plastic dome lights and don't want to add the extra expense of actually mounting fluorescent lighting under your cabinets. This is the way. ☺️
