Love my new watercolor pencils! I was unfamiliar with this type of art supplies. Having just retired, I have the opportunity to try some of the activities I've always wanted to try, including many different art mediums. Watercolor pencils allow me to sketch and experiment with watercolor paints. I am satisfied with their dual purpose. I was also pleased with the included pouch, which is handy for storing pens and has a handy spot for a couple of brushes. I can just put it in my purse and take it with me. Then all I need is some paper and maybe a cup of water.
