I suspect that the adhesive in this product has reacted with the polyurethane coating on my floor. Before work, it was beautiful and shiny, and after a week of use, the surface became stained, and none of my actions could solve this problem. I'm afraid I'll now have to repaint my entire first floor as they all have the same finish. I didn't have the perfect place to test this product, so I just applied it. The product applied well and acted as a good barrier. I'm only giving two stars because I didn't check first. However, I don't have to mar any part of the floor just to test a "protective" product. I am extremely disappointed.
