This saves you a lot of money on ink. I use it in the HP Photo Smart C6380 All-in-One. I couldn't find any relevant instructions online (including a manufacturer's video) for disabling the chip, but we used the ink in my existing HP cartridge and it works perfectly, I didn't see any errors. Maybe this printer is so old that it doesn't have these chips? Either way, as others have said, it can get a little messy, be sure to wear gloves. The print is very nice dark black. It will take me a while to use this bottle but I will definitely re-order the color ink when it runs out.
