Review on Lipper International 1174 Serving Diameter by Andargie Marquez

I liked the "wavy" look of this bowl, which I also bought in a large size. I've provided a few photos which I hope will dispel any future "it's smaller than it looks/I expected". etc. The bowl is the size given in the description and hopefully my photos will help people who have a hard time imagining just from the measurements. The bowl gets 5 stars for the size. Unfortunately, as is sometimes the case with crafting, there is a gap between theory and execution of what Ripple is. I wouldn't describe the bowl I received as "wavy". It has an irregular top, but it resembles straight diagonals rather than curves, allowing for different heights along the top. (-1 star). The bowl is definitely NOT carved from a single piece of wood like most bowls of this type and I was expecting that given the price to size ratio. Since the parts are glued together I would say the price should be significantly lower. In addition, the bottom of the bowl is poorly fixed (-1 star). The construction makes me suspicious of food use as I doubt how well it will stand up to even hand washing. There are also horrible traces of glue from the sticker that was on the bottom. Since it's not on its side I didn't deduct anything but wanted to let people who may be able to buy know. I haven't tried WD-40 to see if it works because I haven't decided if I'll keep it. I'll give it another week or so while I try to figure out how to use it. It can be used as a key trap on the entrance table. Too bad we park in the garage and enter the house through this door, next to which we have put many hooks to hang coats, wallets, keys and the like. Feel free to make suggestions if you have any.
