Fits perfectly. Works perfectly. My truck is a 2001 Tacoma TRD 4x4 Doublecab with a V6 5VZ FE engine. Lasted about 30 minutes as an amateur amateur. Don't forget two new bottles of coolant/antifreeze! And when you have 15 minutes and $15 to spare, replace the thermostat. Contrary to popular belief that all thermostats connect to the UPPER terminal, Toyota Tacoma thermostats connect to the BOTTOM terminal. So, with the radiator drained, remove the LOWER housing (2 clamps) and then the small curved housing at the bottom of the water pump that the LOWER hose was attached to (3 nuts to remove the housing). The thermostat falls out immediately (looks like an old spinning top toy). Install new thermostat, install housing and hoses, fill new radiator and top up if necessary. Tacomas are designed to burst when coolant enters the engine through the UPPER hose. You can always fill the motor through the top hose to speed up the process. Either way, this radiator works great, but for your own good, you should also change the thermostat. If it becomes clogged, the head gasket will rupture, resulting in a $3,000 repair!
