Maybe the perfect iron for me. FYI, I'm male, in my 60's, with medium sized hands. This replaced a fairly reliable old iron that leaked a lot and hardly smoked. I'm single and only iron a couple of shirts and maybe a couple of slacks a week, but I'm a bit picky when it comes to ironing. So after trying a few others which, although they had very good reviews, ranged from bad to terrible in my opinion, I have now had enough time to go through a dozen shirts, cotton, cotton/poly, dresses, casual wear, etc . This is the best iron I've ever had. It evaporates very well and evenly, the vapor rises absolutely drip-free. In addition, the vape switch moves precisely and easily, yet is firm enough to stay in place. Also, this thing holds over a cup of water, so I can wash a lot of shirts on one refill. It heats up very quickly, which I love, and I like the little push-button temperature switch more than the "hard-to-turn" dial. . Very good. The balance is good whether it is filled with water or empty. You really feel the weight of this iron, but once I find out that the weight actually helps you iron (just press it without also pressing it (except maybe for a stubborn crease or two and the pop helps), irons it very light .It made me realize that I used to press hard to iron but now I don't have to.It slips!Ceramic irons I've tried.Latest I need it but not because it shrinks.I like it because about 99% of irons have a cord that sticks out the back of the handle and it just bothers me.With a retractable cord that comes out from the side it doesn't bother with my handle once you've tried this configuration , you can't go back Looks well built Evaporates well Very smooth glide Stop looking Get these!
