UPDATE: Communicated with the company. The panels serve their purpose very well. For the application I was planning to use them in, they work well if the case you're using isn't twice the thickness. I have two cases. I use a slim case with this product and it works exactly as intended. I would recommend this product without a case, taped to the outside of a case, or used in a slim case. Original Thoughts: While it works. I think they should consider making opposing magnets for phone holders. It would be better. Plain metal plates glued to the back of phones and cases don't look good on $800 phones. I'm sure you can understand. With that said, I packed the plates in my suitcase. I never use the sticky part of 3M sheets. I use regular tape to attach the panels inside where they are not visible. It works again. However, I have to assume that a real magnet would work much better and provide a more secure hold.
