I leave this porch 24/7 because it uses so little electricity and also reflects my support for our local law enforcement agencies - which means I eventually will too, practically accurately tell how many hours a lightbulb lasts. I like the deeper shade of blue - it's a calming color with an even spread of light that doesn't seep into neighbors' windows. Some neighbors are also advised not to use bright lights. An unexpected bonus at a time when my Halloween decorations are ready is how spooky my large dangling skeleton (with aluminum foil eyes) hangs in the blue light.
