I have an 11 year old daughter who is obsessed with experimenting with makeup. I understand. I was a kid once. Although she has many eyeshadow palettes and such, she needs brushes. When I saw them I thought they would make a great filling for stockings. I don't really know anything about anime/manga, but the faces are indescribable and small enough not to matter. They are still cute characters. I was drawn to the glamorous rose gold metallic finish and I think she will love it too. The brushes are fine. I wouldn't say these are the softest brushes I've tried, but for a child playing with them, they're ok. I've already put them away for the holidays.
