The first order I received was supposed to be new in the box. The item originally sent to me was not new. It was opened and the box was sealed with clear plastic tape. The original did not come with instructions, product review sheets, or customer service information. The screws were scattered around the box when placed in a zipped bag. Parts were also missing. All of this indicates that this was not a new product that was sent to me. The replacement shipment contained a sealed bag with screws, instructions, product overview information, and a customer service card. The box was also sealed with factory white label glue. So finally I was sent a new product that I had ordered. Now that I had all the parts it was easy to put together. The stand is solid, just what I was looking for. I work from home and use this stand to elevate my laptop up and off my desk to free up space. Works great. If we ever go back to the office I'll be using this in the office, not at home.
