Filter exactly as described. It appears to be OEM and not a repackaged fake. Fits perfectly in the filter holder of my DCC-1200. I'm usually happy with counterfeits in any product category, but in this case I decided to pay a little more for the Cuisinart brand since, as others have pointed out, unnamed carry a higher risk. that who-knows-what's in their coals. No guarantees of course - I'm sure Cuisinart outsources filter production - but in this case the brand name gives me some comfort. When I first flushed the new one according to the instructions, I didn't notice any bits of carbon "leaking" out of the filter. In terms of coffee quality. I have never changed the original filter until now (more than 2 years). I'm not sure if the new filter affected the taste of the coffee - the quality of the incoming water is very good - but the old filter looked slightly brownish. I deducted a star because some of the boxes were crushed upon delivery; no damage to the filters.
