1 year old and in the trash

I liked it at first. The arms, the joints, the head are all well made and work perfectly. I was excited because with the new LED technology it should last a long time right? Not correct! The lamp body is still solid and works great, but after less than a year the LED "light" sections started to degrade. There are 2 rows of parallel lines of mini LEDs covering the round lamp head. I can only assume that they are divided into about 10-20 sections and each section has started to come out. At first one section flickered like crazy, worse than when a fluorescent lamp burns out, after a while this section went out completely. In the beginning it wasn't that bad, only a tiny part was inaccessible. After a course of about 3 months I now have at least 6 sections with maybe 10 individual LEDs, which is about 1/2 of all. Turned on in the evening and nothing. The biggest problem is that you can't replace the glow, it's not like the old fluorescent lights where you can only replace the bulb or ballast. I know I disassembled it to check everything is soldered. I draw a line in electronics. I'm sure my father could imagine and understand it all, but we didn't have to. In short, after a year of operation, it's in the trash. LED bulbs can last forever, but only if the electronic circuits they're connected to are also built to last, which isn't the case. Actually it's bad because everything else was perfect
