this was much cheaper than alternatives and seems to be working and quieting most of the constant noise after installation. I gently rotated the pump by hand to prime it (after installing and priming) and removing all the air I could that could otherwise damage the pump. wasn't fun to install. My engine had already been replaced and the pulley could not be removed due to the Ford engineer's "generous" (1/1000th"?) gap between the pulley and the inside of the body. I had to rebuild the engine with a 1/ 8" push through long metal rod. Remove/install pump pulley. too much work to risk the cheapest pump even though it has worked 2 months so far. no leaks yet. bty, got an expensive remanufactured OEM alternator from autozone, which was also very noisy when installed a few months ago, which has mostly calmed down. Many auto parts with bearings don't seem to be well made or rebuilt and won't cover the job if they're defective.
