I bought this and put it on my bike but it got too cold (for me at least) to ride here in Chicagoland. I don't think the belts will interfere with exposed cables (derailleur and brakes), but I'm not sure yet. I rather think the cables fray on the straps of the bag. I have a small one, I just want somewhere to hide the inner tube, tire tools and air pump - I walked a few miles home in the summer when I got the apartment and ran home before the storm came. The universal tool I had (didn't come) would probably work as well.
