Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Ultimate Gaming Power: PlayStation Portable 3000 Core Pack System - Piano Black by William Bell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great unit! Not a very good seller!

I have wanted a Sony PSP for a long time and have been looking for one in excellent condition as finding an affordable unit in excellent condition can be a challenge. I give the PSP 5 stars for its features and rich game library. But buyers beware: I bought it from FIVE STAR CAMERA, where the PSP was listed as "like new". I've waited a while to post this review so I can estimate my cost to get my Sony PSP playable. I saw the problem as soon as I took it out of the box. It had 2 large slots on the front panel that could not be removed even by polishing. It had to be replaced as both cuts were right in the middle of the screen. Not like new. Second, I plugged it in to turn it on and start charging. The system was set to Asian language and I had to do a factory reset as I couldn't understand the settings menu to get to the language settings. I noticed there was no battery indicator and unplugged the power cord to see what happens when I plug it back in. The device turned off immediately. It turned out that no battery was included, something I don't remember was mentioned in the description. Again not like new. I spent $14 on a new faceplate and $17 on a new battery, in addition to the $155 I paid for a "like new" PSP. I am willing to upgrade my seller rating from 1 star if FIVE STAR CAMERA refunds me $31 for my cost of building this gaming device. Until then, my 1 star remains. But the PSP is great. If you can at least find it in good condition it will be fun. UPDATE: I was too hasty with the seller rating. It turns out that the analog joystick also had to be replaced, which I didn't mention before. It was another $6.43 to make it like new.
