Filtered air or longer defog

By now you've probably discovered that your Chevy Volt doesn't have a cabin air filter, and I'm here to say there's a reason why. While you can rest assured that the air just being pumped through those vents onto your face is being filtered, you should also note that the inner front screen is more prone to fogging and takes longer to clear itself. Apparently the filter blocks enough pressure to clear fogging in seconds, but now the windshield also tends to get slightly damp on the inside, leaving traces of evaporation from dried water. So you have to think about it. : Do you need filtered air? Or don't you want to clean the inside of your windshield every few days and do a longer demist during the rainy and cold months?
