Description of 🌬️ ACDelco GM CF181 Cabin Air Filter: Optimal OEM Performance for Clean & Fresh Air

Equipped with long media in the non-woven material/compound media in order to capture more particles while increasing air flow. Has compound media that consists of three layers in which the outside layer captures 100% of large airborne particles, the middle layer captures smaller particles, and the final layer provides strength and stability. Has a layered construction that creates 'separated' media in order to better contain dust and pollen particles, resulting in higher efficiency. Some ACDelco GM Original Equipment parts may have formerly appeared as GM Genuine Parts (OE) or ACDelco Professional. ACDelco GM Original Equipment parts are designed, engineered and tested to rigorous standards, and are backed by General Motors. GM Engineers design and validate OE parts specifically for your Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, or Cadillac vehicle. GM regularly updates production and service part designs to integrate new materials and technologies.

Ideal for air filters and accessories

Perfect. Same part number as the original in my car which hasn't changed in at least 5 years (didn't realize something like this needed to be replaced). First of all great, I will order more.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Speed

A good product. for cabin air filter

Great for my 2012 Chevy Sonic. The only drawback was the lack of instructions. I had to search the internet for the location of the filter in the car, but otherwise it was easy to install. Made a big difference in heating and air conditioning airflow.

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Good filter, easy to replace

I bought a HVAC filter for my Chevrolet Sonic and I wanted good quality so I bought one from ACDelco. I watched a video on YouTube and it wasn't difficult at all. To install. Just slide the door off the glove box and push a couple of latches, open the door and it slides out. Again, everything was of high quality and delivered quickly.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Almost ok

The car is fogging up more now

changed the filter and now the car is fogging up faster and even has some condensation which I didn't have before, particularly good time has gotten me now this winter and I have ice on both sides of the car. I don't see too many other posts on this topic but this is what I found. It was easy to install, but that's a machine issue, not a filter issue.

Pros
  • hands free
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Easy to install in 1st generation Chevy Volt

Installed in my 1st generation Volt (2013). The comport is behind the glove box. Direction is important to installation, so make sure the filter is in the correct direction for airflow. At 1 volt, the airflow is directed toward the ground. The fan sucks in air and you can see the fan when the filter is off. I replaced mine 18 months ago and am in the process of doing it again as it's starting to look pretty dirty.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Faulty

GM OEM but could be more rigid.

This is the exact same filter that came with my daughter's Chevy Cruze. Arrived well, but when installed the left side was bent in towards the center (it's just thin cardboard). I straightened it out and hope the slight bend doesn't affect performance. I've seen reviews of other filters complaining that they're too ripped. Maybe they have cars that need some play built in. In a Chevy Cruze, this is a straight shot and a stiffer frame would be better. I will try another one next time.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • boring packaging

Would definitely recommend this product for scheduled maintenance

I can confirm this is OEM hardware on a 2014 Chevy Sonic. Living in Vegas, my air conditioner runs at full capacity 90% of the year. After owning the car for 20 months, I noticed a big drop in airflow from pulling into a parking lot. After the exchange, the difference is day and night. I definitely recommend this product as a regular skin care product. Checking the current filter is very easy, so take 5 minutes to drop the glove box. If the filter is gray, replace it. You'll appreciate all the…

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • The list will be long.

If you think you're getting a discount, good luck.

So in January I bought this and several other AC Delco products because of their discounts. I applied for discounts with no problems and inquired today as I was wondering where they are. Typical discount experience. As it turns out, 2/3 were turned down for "outside the promotion window". Um no, the promotion window opened on January 1st 2020 and runs until June 30th 2020. I called and complained and the CSR agreed that they should have been paid but needed to request their verification. Also…

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Filtered air or longer defog

By now you've probably discovered that your Chevy Volt doesn't have a cabin air filter, and I'm here to say there's a reason why. While you can rest assured that the air just being pumped through those vents onto your face is being filtered, you should also note that the inner front screen is more prone to fogging and takes longer to clear itself. Apparently the filter blocks enough pressure to clear fogging in seconds, but now the windshield also tends to get slightly damp on the inside…

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Dear
