This is a good pen set, but it won't last a lifetime, 6-8 months at most depends on your patience. Best performance is when using cartridges, the converter is not in use, is leaking and needs to be refilled by dipping it into the ink tank to start the flow. Make sure you have a bar of Lava Soap nearby for cleaning. I wouldn't spend a lot of money on the Classic or the next setup. They both perform, but only after a lot of work. But I keep coming back for more because I can't find a decent Calligrapy pen that I can pick up and write out of the box, but then I prefer an inkwell and a good converter, or just the regular ink fountain pen that Parker uses. I don't think you will be disappointed for the low price, just a bit dirty.
