I use these to tie a grilled chicken. I have been ordering ties from this seller and other sellers for several years and the elasticity seemed perfect! And now, 2020, maybe late 2019, ties aren't that stretchy and thick anymore. Some feel they will crack due to the heat. Others are just so tight around a 5 pound chicken. We used to be able to cook a 5.4 pound chicken. Now we're lucky enough to be able to get about 5.0 pounds of chicken. It may not seem like a huge difference, but we double-tie our chicken for security and even cooking. So I'm a little sad about these connections. But I will buy it again if I can't find anything else to use.
