Review on Kalencom Potette Plus 2-in-1 Travel Potty Trainer Seat Green: Portable & Versatile Potty for Traveling Kids by Mike Schmidt

Revainrating 5 out of 5

a bit bulky but so versatile

It doesn't fold up as compactly as some seats, but it's not just for restroom placement like most. My DD categorically refuses to use public restrooms so this was a great decision for us. And when she's finally ready for them, it will give her comfort from what she's used to. It doesn't fold very well when it has a reusable liner, but the disposables allow it to fold completely like it should. However, my DD only uses a reusable liner (the crumpled plastic of the disposable liner irritates her), so I can say that if you fold the seat with a reusable liner, the liner takes over the leg crease abuse. it is good with no damage. (Reusable pads are so easy to clean that I have not used disposable pads before so I don't know how well they work). Also, the chair is low to the ground when potty training, but that makes the "#2" transition a lot easier for baby and encourages him to take that potty training step (or it was for my DD, who first wanted us to have it ). The folding mechanism takes a little getting used to, but is quickly done. It is very important that the legs are fully inserted into the seat before use, otherwise it will become unstable - if you click correctly, everything will be fine. We haven't used it as a seat on the toilet so I can't speak to it except that in this position it's so wide I don't care if the seat shifts and like some seats fall into the toilet ( slide , probably, but don't leave it out).
