I originally bought the Buydeem K2423 with the intention of making my own tea in the boiler. However, I quickly stopped using an infusion when I switched to a separate mug coffee maker and now Kung Fu. To me it's basically just a regular glass kettle for boiling water since I removed the radiator. Of course, if you compare it to Breville, it's a worthy deal. However, if you're like me and want to use it not only as an all-in-one brewing solution but also as a kettle, it's expensive. Temperature. In addition, there is a silicone or plastic ring around the lower interior that connects the base to the glass. In my opinion, at this price point, it should be all stainless steel. Mineral buildup can also affect the mesh/steel cap and slow down the fill rate, which can be frustrating. You can prevent this by wiping it down after each use. If you let it go, you'll have to soak it in vinegar and cook it to make it look new again. Otherwise I have had K2423 for almost 6 months, I have used it several times a day and it has held up well. I would give 3 stars but that would be unfair as I am not using it for its intended purpose. Right now I'm trying to find a reason to buy an OXO or Fellow Stagg gooseneck kettle, but will wait until this one breaks before doing so. Overall this is a decent product. Don't be like me and buy something before you've found your "tea endgame" in terms of your preferred brewing method!
