Italian Ruby Twine - Quality Upholstery Yarn

I purchased this Italian Ruby Twine based on a recommendation on a blog site. She changed the chair on this page. We have an expensive leather sofa and wanted to retie the sofa's springs rather than buy a new sofa (the sofa is otherwise fine). This is a good weight cord that is ideal for tying feathers. Durable and easy to use. When we pulled the brackets out of the section to expose the springs, we already knew there were unsupported spots on the couch. Our sofa has springs instead of upholstery wire ties (many sofas have wire ties and upholstery clips) and the furniture maker used light weight twine to tie the springs in place and some of the joints broke (kids fall on the sofa). etc., we have had a cutting machine for 10 years). In fact, I tied all the feathers together three times to make them stronger and more durable. This isn't a project I want to do over and over again, I wanted to get it right the first time and use the right yarn for it. the second part of the section is coming soon. It seemed intimidating at first when we pulled out the braces and realized we had feathers to work with, but to be honest it was a pretty easy project (I researched and ordered yarn after we found out we had feathers). Just a little time (we did it jerky for 4 days but really could have done it in a weekend, we got more confident once we had knitted the first row of yarn). I would recommend "fixing" the sofa (chair, etc.) with your own hands, and not just get rid of it. If it's a solid sofa cosmetically, it's a much cheaper alternative. They will last years and years with my binding and this quality yarn.
