Oh my endless search for a cheap but bright bike light. I found it in there?! uh, sort of. It's good light, good enough. I like it better than some other lamps I've used in this lower price range. It can be pretty bright. I don't always find the battery lasts as long as I'd like, but the button will glow red when it's low. Something in that particular light works better for me than others. Maybe it feels a little more flashy, maybe it warns long enough before dying that I have a chance to actually charge before it dies inside me in the middle of a ride. There are 5 stars in this rating considering the price of the main light. I consider it a gimmick when the tail light is on. I don't think this is just a problem with this particular product as most of these combinations consider the taillight to be cheap junk. Everything is fine with the scope of delivery. It also charges via USB, but it's not very good. I bought the taillight separately anyway and gave the one that came in the kit away to someone who didn't have a light at all. So yes, it's better than nothing, but I feel like it's more for marketing purposes because it doesn't quite match what the front light offers. I'm at least glad it's USB rechargeable as I've had these combos before where the main USB charged but the backlight still uses old school disposable batteries.
