Review on 🔵 WAYNE CDU980E 0.75 HP Submersible Sump Pump - Cast Iron & Stainless Steel, Integrated Vertical Float Switch by Robert Viher

Without a doubt this is a great pump! Quiet, pumps water quickly, easy to install. I don't need to repeat that, just read the other reviews! HOWEVER, DO NOT oversize by replacing an existing lower powered pump with this unless your existing pump has the capacity. Especially if you have another drain connected to the same plumbing as the pump. I replaced the old pump with a 1/4 hp. (see attached photo, it's at least 20+ years old!) for this 3/4 hp. Wayne and thought what could go wrong! Coming home to our first big rain under the pump. Went outside to check. I have found that the pump pushes water through the plumbing systems with such force that some of the water flows back to other plumbing connections. Part of the PVC cover is splintered. Luckily no damage. I need to replace another pump (also 1/3 HP) in the back of the house. This connector is for the pump only. I will move this kid and get another 1/3 HP Wayne for this location. I still give this pump 5 stars!
