I don't know why it isn't in the description but the studs are made of this material which means your ears won't turn green and you shouldn't have any reaction at all even if you're very sensitive to that stuff. I think it would be nice to see them as mirror images of each other, but that doesn't detract from their beauty. Super shiny gold and the shell is very reflective and colorful even in bright light. My box was physically destroyed upon delivery (fault of the carrier) but these earrings were not damaged at all which given the abuse they have gone through to get to me speaks volumes about how well made they are!
