I bought this to use as a wireless repeater/bridge and network hub. I can't comment on the stock firmware as I flashed it with DD-WRT, a free firmware replacement, right after powering on the device. The range is better than the Wireless-G device I've used before (not a WRT-enabled DD device) and the device is much more stable. The extra bandwidth that Wireless N offers is very noticeable. In the two months of its operation, I had to restart this device by unplugging it from the mains three times. Two of these involved changing settings to avoid interference with other nearby wireless devices. The third reboot was due to the device's unresponsiveness, apparently caused by overheating. I've since moved it for better ventilation and haven't had any further issues. For the repair price, this unit is hard to beat. You don't have to spend big bucks on devices with fancy network settings when you can add them with a simple flash and reset. Add a second firmware if you want to upgrade to a "standard" DD-WRT (with even more features) instead of the standard "mini" installation. The only downside of this device is non-removable antennas. They are the same on most Linksys devices and most users will not need to replace them.
