DO NOT USE THE INSTALLATION CD!

If you are new to WIRELESS networking, ignore the installation CD wizard. This is completely ERROR. It will not work. If you're new, email Support# and CHAT for installation instructions. There are several versions and they all have some bugs but are functional. If you have experience, you can use the included setup software to find out. It is an inexpensive system with limited speed and range. If you're trying to break the speed and range barriers to connect to a cable broadband connection…

WRT150N Computer and Accessories

Linksys WRT150N-RM Refurb Wireless-N Home Router I was looking to upgrade our old Linksys router to an 802.11n capable router and I didn't want to spend a lot of money. This refurbished router is what you need. Installation was very easy. There are two things I would suggest to make your installation as easy as possible. Write down your old router's MAC address (if you have one), clone it to this router's MAC address, throw away the installation CD, and set up the router manually. It is not…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Interchangeable

Bought a pair of these to replace a pair of Linksys WRT54GL routers. First minus. . I would give 5 stars if the antennas were RPTNC like the older WRT54G routers (above V4) and WRT54GL wireless routers. They could be removed and replaced with other antennas. The antennas on these are built into the case (no connectors), making it difficult to simply replace them with higher gain antennas (which I have from the WRT54G/GL routers I use). Apparently, Linksys issues antennas with connectors, which…

Don't be afraid to repair

I bought this to use as a wireless repeater/bridge and network hub. I can't comment on the stock firmware as I flashed it with DD-WRT, a free firmware replacement, right after powering on the device. The range is better than the Wireless-G device I've used before (not a WRT-enabled DD device) and the device is much more stable. The extra bandwidth that Wireless N offers is very noticeable. In the two months of its operation, I had to restart this device by unplugging it from the mains three…

Does exactly what I wanted.

I already have a wireless N router. The reason I bought this one was 2 times. The price was very reasonable. and it was one of the few N-based routers that could handle DD-WRT. I bought this router and installed DD-WRT to make it a bridge. So now I have this router connected to all my consoles in my living room (PS3, Xbox360, Tivo, Original Xbox) and it behaves like a wireless "card" to put it simply and connects to the wireless router, which enables access to the Internet. . It was a little…

Lynksys 150N Wireless Router

Like the Dlink DR625, the Lynksys 150N are very reliable Class N wireless routers. I own both. The Lynksys router is a bit easier to set up, but with strict adherence to the installation discs, both work well. I had to ask Dlink for help setting up the DR625 to get the best results - great support. The Linksys 150N router my sons had in California went out of service in just under a year. Linksys support was amazing, thorough and replaced the entire router after diagnosis (latest version…

Great deal on this router

I was looking for a router to replace my parents' Linksys WRT54G which was damaged in a thunderstorm. I bought a new WRT150 for myself early last year and was very happy with it, but couldn't find it in any of my local retail stores anymore. I was a bit nervous about buying a refurbished one, but after reading some reviews I decided to give it a try. I placed an order and hooked up the router within 2 days (very fast standard shipping!). This router works just as well as my new store bought…

Great router while you update firmware

As mentioned before, you absolutely must buy this router and then flash it with DD-WRT firmware. If you don't know how then google it. As most other instructions say, flash the DD-WRT mini_generic version first, then (if you want the full firmware) flash the updated router with the std_generic version. I can run my router for months without a single problem. I have a Macbook and it connects to it every time without any fuss. My connections are fast and usually around 130 Mbps. This router is…

Great product, useless software

I switched from direct RDP to VPN for work and found that my Belkin router doesn't support VPN. I had no idea the quality of a router was so important! Everything on our home network, including wired connections, works much better with this router. This is an amazing product. Like many USB products, it comes with an installer with an Install First warning. It's not needed and doesn't work at all. All there was ever was a "not connected to the internet" message whether I was connected to a new…

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Low maintainability

Mostly quick access

Most of the time, this router is fast enough for tasks like sending files. I would say there will be a small bug about once a day. Either it will drop a bunch of packets and slow things down, or it will drop the connection and be unavailable for maybe 20 seconds. My router is way up. It has a lot of ventilation. I'm within maybe 50 feet of him through some walls. I'm honestly a bit disappointed with my first experience with an N router.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Vulgarity
