I was looking for a router to replace my parents' Linksys WRT54G which was damaged in a thunderstorm. I bought a new WRT150 for myself early last year and was very happy with it, but couldn't find it in any of my local retail stores anymore. I was a bit nervous about buying a refurbished one, but after reading some reviews I decided to give it a try. I placed an order and hooked up the router within 2 days (very fast standard shipping!). This router works just as well as my new store bought WRT150 router and is less than half the price. I went ahead and flashed the firmware for updates as it had multiple versions behind it, but even before that the router was working fine. I will say that my parents and my own WRT150N router are set to mixed B/G mode as neither of us have "N" wireless devices so I am not talking to the "N" functionality of this router can, but work great with Wireless B and G. It has about the same range as the WRT54G router, maybe a little more. The only downside to this router (which may not be the case with all of these refurbished routers) is that I noticed a few scratches/scuffs on the front of the router. routers. Nothing particularly serious, but it certainly couldn't masquerade as a "new" router. Since this is a repair for less than half the price I paid for a new one, it's worth a few cosmetic scratches. I just wanted a good working router and here it is.
