I decided to use a trash bag as an insert. Great little bag, love the design, beautiful and durable! It came with reusable bags. It has a nice little space to put a water bottle. In the photo, the bottle is on one side of the bag, on the other side there is another compartment. I don't have a strap as you can see in the photo. But I like that the junk was pretty good! It would be great for small children on the trip. If one of them gets sick on the way, I know I could use that and there would be nothing left in the car. Sorry if that's too much information
